Volunteer!

We welcome your involvement in this mighty grassroots movement! We have opportunities for one-time volunteering, as well as longer-term assignments.  Any time or talent you can contribute will be put to good use.  Here are some ways you can help:

• Licensing Event Volunteers: It’s fun and satisfying to help people craft their Undriving pledges and get licensed.  Shifts are typically 3-4 hours on event days, usually on weekends, in the Seattle area.  Email us to get added to the Event Volunteer list.

COMING RIGHT UP: REDMOND’s IMPACT: ECO-FAIR, JULY 10!
We’re getting ready to Undrive Redmond!  Volunteers are needed at our first big Eastside event- please join us!  We’ll be licensing Undrivers at Redmond’s City Hall, at partnering with the City of Redmond at their Impact: Eco-Fair that’ll be held in conjunction with the annual Derby Days Celebration.

Help out at the Undriver Licensing Station:

• PLEDGERS – help people craft their Undriving pledges, and point to Undriving resources
• PROPMEISTER – Gather and check pledge forms, and point them to the props selection for their photos.  This person also ends up doing Pledging!

Undriving Redmond Shifts:

1)  Sat July 10, 9:45am-2pm
2)  Sat, July 10, 2-6pm
3)  Bonus round: takedown!  6-6:30

Undriving Redmond volunteers receive:
- a made-to-order Undriver License for you or to give as a gift
- five pairs of free bus tickets courtesy of King County METRO
- tons of appreciation and satisfaction!

• Grantwriter/Researcher: Undriving seeks an experienced and resourceful grantwriter to join us in pursuit of funding to fuel this movement.  Contact us for more information.

• Creative Technology Person: Help us invent the Online Undriver Licensing Station of the future.  We’ll also welcome your technical expertise in updating our website and online marketing efforts.  Your availability for occasional IT projects and on-call trouble-shooting will make a world of difference for Undriving!

Board President: We are seeking the right person to join our Board and provide leadership as we transition from a fiscal-sponsored program to our own 501c3 organization.  Our small board of directors needs to grow and become more formal.  Are you committed to the mission of Undriving? Have experience serving on boards?  Excited to help give shape to a ‘young’ organization with tons of potential?  Contact us to discuss this unique opportunity, which could be either a two-year commitment or more of a six-month “swat” interim consulting-style role.

• Fundraising Committee: Undriving wants to build a stronger base of individual donors and is creating a fundraising committee made up of staff, board, and community volunteers.  Bring your creative ideas and contacts!  We are committed to having fun raising funds to expand this innovative program.

• Event Coordinators: Do you love throwing a good party to raise money for a great cause?  We’d love to involve some creative, resourceful, personable, detail-oriented people in cooking up a fun gala fundraising event for Undriving.

• Branding Wizard: Help guide us as we define Undriving’s brand and explore opportunities for growth.  Visual/verbal skills and marketing mindset.

To discuss these opportunities, or propose other forms of involvement, email us – tell us a little about yourself and what you’d like to do. Please attach a resume to help us plan the best volunteering experience we can offer.  THANK YOU!
